Amigator is an international special interest group for Amiga
animators. Our main goal is to establish a world-wide network of
individuals using this unique platform to assist them in animation
production at all levels.
Amigator was founded in the fall of 1991 as a result of a growing need
for support and interaction between Amiga animators. Whether your work
is commercial or artistic, if you're a professionals, student or even
a novice; Amigator is here to serve your specific animation and
computer needs. If you produce animation as part of a video service,
television production, independent filmmaking, entertainment,
educational, games or multimedia applications, then you can benefit a
lot from being an Amigator.
How many of the following questions have you asked yourself over the
years:
· How do other animators use their Amiga?
· Where can I find a decent and in-depth reviews of new and existing
Amiga software and hardware needed for animation production?
· It sure would be great if I could get some guidance from
professionals in standard animation production methods....
· Who can help me learn the basic principles of animation?
· How about some answers to specific questions which can't be answered
by main stream publications?
· Oooh..and I'm just dying for some unique tutorials that will offer
powerful new insights into my software....
· Heck! I would even be willing to contribute, myself, by offering my
services to the members of such an Amiga animation group
· I wonder what other neat things are available? Maybe I can offer a
few suggestions of my own!
All this and more awaits you when you become a part of the newest wave
of independent animation; when you become an Amigator!
Our membership is based on annual fees due upon joining and then again
at the beginning of every new year. New members will automatically
receive a complete set of the current years publications. Amigator's
Newsletter/Diskzine is produced as many times as humanly possible
(i.e. 4 to 6 issues per year). You can help by offering articles,
reviews, opinions, and/or tutorials. Write to us and find out what the
requirements are.
